Sarah Phelps '20 Recruiting Profile

As a more mature athlete and individual my collegiate goal is to find my home away from home. Though finding a great softball program is key, the school itself is very important to me. When thinking of my dream school I think of a midsize school with a campus feel. I am also looking for a school that both on and off the field will prepare me for life after college and sports. I need a place that will help me grow not just as an athlete but a person as well.I am currently an exercise science major and am looking for a path that will keep me involved with sports my whole life! What makes me different then other athletes is effort and performing the little things. Though it is obvious I may not be the biggest kid on the field but I sure will be the hardest working kid. From being a coaches kid from very young I have learned the importance of being early, being coachable, and being good at the small things. Not only will I be a great aspect on the field but also off the field! I always make it a priority to be a great teammate both on and off the field. Lastly, aside from athletics I understand the importance of school and that student will always become before athlete. With me being apart of your team you will be able to count on me as a player, student, teammate, and person!
