I am a now a Senior at Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, Massachusetts. I've been playing softball since I was 11 when I made the transition of being a Little League baseball pitcher to joining a U12 travel softball team. I continued my softball career with the Central Mass Crushers Red Elite as a Outfielder for the last 4 years. The 2017 school season, playing for my Varsity Softball team, was a very memorable year, as we made school history claiming our first District champion title, and competing at the Division 1 State finals.
I am extremely thankful and excited to named a captain of Wachusett High Schools 2019 Softball Team. My coaches have said that my respect for the game and fellow team mates is very impressive . My coaches have also noted my speed and consistent high on base percentage has been key assets for the high school team over the past four years.
While softball is my sport of choice, I have also competed at a high level of ice hockey on the Minuteman Lady Flames from the age of 9-14 as both a defense man and forward.
I take very high pride in my academic ability in school as I do on the field and have always tried to push myself further with taking more honors classes each year, including three AP courses - AP Language and Composition, AP Statistics and AP Economics. I have consistently been on the Honor Roll every year since 7th grade with a current GPA of 3.6 and strive to make that the High Honor Roll this year. This year I have received the honor of induction to both National Honor Society and Math Honor Society, and this spring I will be inducted to the National Business Honor Society as well. In the classroom I excel and have a passion for both Math and Science and hope to turn those into a career soon. I have done volunteer work for the past couple years through local hospitals as well as with Y.A.H.O.O. a program to assist to the elderly, and continue to spend my free time helping at the Sterling Animal Shelter for my undeniable love of animals.
My goal is to find a college that will help me challenge both my academic and personal growth as well as help me find a lifelong career. I hope to attend a college in which I can play softball at a competitive level and strive in the classroom to continue my lifestyle as a successful student athlete.
