Personal Statement

Age 10 was the first time I’ve ever stepped on a Softball field, Although I was young and didn’t know what to do I started to fall in love with the game I was playing. Ever since then, I knew I wanted to grow up playing this sport. Now that I’m older I want to continue my dream of playing Softball beyond High-school.

As a teammate I am a positive contributor. When someone is down I am able to pick them back up and I am able to put aside my emotions and indifferences to help any one of my teammates. I can also be dependable when it comes to being in the field and what goes on beyond that. Coaches depend on my physical strength and speed when it comes to running bases, hitting, sliding, and throwing.

In addition to playing collage Softball I can also maintain successful academic grades and reach my academic goals. While playing sports each season, and working I have been able to increase my GPA to a 4.1 because, I am very focused on what i’m passionate about. As a person I am very uninhibited, because I know that if I let someone’s judgement get the best of me I am less likely to succeed and reach my goals. As an athlete I am very versatile and my coaches can depend on me to work hard no matter where they put me.

Student wise I am an all High Honors student in honors classes. Since my high-school is a technical school, I am able to study a trade. The career path that I chose was Health and Medical professions. I chose this path because I enjoy helping and caring for others who are in need or who are struggling to meet their needs.  I am truly Passionate about what I do. In both shop and academic weeks I am able to finish my work and put excellent effort into any assignment given to me.

Although I am only a Junior in High-school I am Interested in reaching my college goals both academically and athletically. I am able to be a advocate for myself and others who cannot advocate for themselves.I am very understanding, hard working, and willing to try anything that comes my way. I am extremely excited to see the opportunities that approach me in the future! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better!
