Madeline Hohne '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Madeline Hohne, but please call me Maddie.  I am about to start my second High School Varsity season, as a sophomore, and I could not be more excited.  Last season, I had so much fun and am so grateful for the opportunity to have led my team as the starting pitcher.  Being the starting pitcher on a varsity team as a freshman came with a lot of pressure.  However, the years of work I have put in made me fully prepared physically and mentally for the challenge.  I am happy to say that I was able to help lead my team to a District Championship, something that our school had not seen since 2018.  I am looking forward to this season and the great things that my team has in store.

Being an athlete has taught me the importance of teamwork, sacrifice, commitment and leadership.  All characteristics that will allow me to be successful on and off the field.  In addition, I have an enormous drive to do well in whatever it is I am doing.  Whether it be on the softball field, basketball or volleyball court or in the classroom.  My coaches and teachers always praise me for my willingness to learn, work hard and to succeed.  I set goals and reach them and am never satisfied until the next goal is reached.  It is not always easy as there seems to always be someone somewhere that will doubt me, however, I use that as motivation to push harder and prove them wrong.

I believe I not only have the talent to compete at the next level, but the work-ethic and leadership skills to be an effective teammate and member of your program.  Please feel free to reach out to me with any camp or event invitations.  I am ready and willing to put in the work and show you I have what it takes to be a collegiate athlete.
