Personal Statement
Hi my name is Tori Nash, I am a freshmen at Fruitport High School. I am currently playing travel softball for the Michigan Sabercats. I am a right handed pitcher and pitching 55 mph, I am also a center fielder. It has always been a dream to go play collage softball, now it is my goal. I started playing softball when I was 8 years old and travel when I was 12. When I started travel was when I really started dedicating myself by taking pitching lesson once a week and pitching 1-2 more time a week outside of my lessons. Not only do I play softball but I played volleyball for 2 years in 7th and 8th grade, and I am also a cheerleader. I don't only want to keep getting better in softball but in school. I keep pushing myself to get good grades . School is really important to me because I don't only want to get a softball scholarship but I want go to a good collage that will help me with my future. I would like study into the medical field as a pediatric nurse.
To me there is no day on the diamond where you are not working hard, the way that you practice is the way that you play in the game. You should always try to better yourself not only in the field but in the dugout as a teammate, if that is support your coaches decisions on where they put you, or the play that your teammate is making. Playing softball isn't about just how good your team is and winning. Softball is a game where it sees if you have the drive to keep going even if you are down 10-0. I am always trying to better myself even if that means i am sitting in the dugout supporting my team.
