Brooke Gordon '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi!  My name is Brooke Gordon and I graduate in the class of 2022.  I am a 3 sport varsity athlete (softball, volleyball, track) and I will play varsity basketball in my Junior year.  My main focus has and always will be softball!  I started playing softball when I was 5 years old and it is my absolute favorite thing to do.  My primary position is shortstop and my secondary position is 2nd base. I can also play 1st and 3rd base and outfield.   Last spring I was named offensive MVP as a freshman in my first varsity season.  I batted 4th in the lineup and finished the season with a .463 batting average.  I also play on 2 travel teams year round in addition to playing school ball. So far in my high school academic career I have maintained a 3.843 GPA unweighted.  I have also served as my class president for the past two years.  I have been involved in many extra curricular activities including Student Council, Youth Advisory Committee (YAC), National Honor Society, Band, FFA, and Youth Group.

I am a very positive, driven individual.  My passion is softball.  I practice everyday and I have been known to practice after practice on my own and attend multiple practices in one day.  There is nothing better in my mind than attending an all day, all weekend softball tournament.  I would do it every weekend if I could.  I have never missed a practice or a game and I never get tired of playing.  My dream is to play softball collegiality.  

I would be an excellent candidate for your team.  I am a leader on and off the field and a great teammate . I work hard for my team because I want us to be the best that we can be.  I am always the first one on the field and the last one to leave after practices and games.  In addition to being a strong player I am very coachable and a fast learner.  I am always looking for new drills to improve my game.   Being able to play softball at the college level would be an absolute dream come true.
