My name is Chance Colbert, I am currently a 5' 3.5" heading into my junior year with a 4.0 GPA at Rock Ridge High School in Eveleth, Minnesota.
I am originally from Iowa and moved to northern Minnesota in 2017. My love for softball and all other sports began while growing up there. I had started club softball at the 8u level and my love for the game only grew from there. I have continued to play softball at a highly competitive level, continually pushing myself to get better with every year. My 7th grade year I didn't get to play for the high school team as Covid hit. I have been a varsity starter since 8th grade and continue to work hard as a leader on and off the field. I have had some pitching experience from the 8u level up until recently as I felt my stronger points are at SS/3rd/and OF. I've even stepped in when we needed a catcher. I currently play for Starters/Catalyst Softball Academy out of Burnsville, MN. I drive 4 hours one way to get myself to practice. I am a committed player to my fellow teammates and to the organization.
With my ever growing knowledge of the sport, I enjoy learning about all the positions and where everyone needs to be to make the play. I feel that even at this younger age, all of my teammates respect me which I feel reflects my character.
