December 2017Personal Statement
I have been blessed to have the opportunity to play at the next level at East Mississippi Community College. As I approach my Sophomore year, I am very interested in playing at a four year university. I truly love to play this game.
My current major is in education, and maybe coach my own team one day. I can certainly use what I have learned from each of my previous coaches and apply to my own team. I know I can’t get there without working hard, and I’m not afraid to work.
Being a four sport athlete my high school freshman year (cross country, slow pitch softball, basketball and fast pitch softball) and a three sport athlete my Sophomore , Junior and Senior year all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA wasn’t easy. I have maintained a 3.86 my freshman year at EMCC. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, and volunteering with my church youth group, where I am on the Leadership team.
Challenges are a part of life and how we see our way through them make us who we are. Giving up is not an option for me, but staying focused is. I am very excited about this upcoming fast pitch season as a college sophomore. I’m ready to help lead my team to many victories wherever I am needed whether it’s on the mound, at the plate, or on first base.
