My name is Halle Gydesen and I am a 5'8" junior from Lexington, NE. I have played softball since I was 9 years old and have been a varsity starter in my first 3 years of high school. I received All-State Honorable Mention (Class B) my sophomore year and have a 4.4 GPA. I am also ranked #1 academically in my class of 206. Softball is my life and it is my dream to have the opportunity to play at the college level and also obtain a 4-year college degree.
I am looking for a school with high academics and a very high level of competition. I would also like to explore universities on the West Coast because I have family there. I am open to colleges across the nation that have high academic standings and are dedicated to Women's sports. I do not know what road I want to follow for my major but I figure I have some time to work that out. I would like to pursue an institution where I can make an impact on the team early in my career. A larger size school would be preferable but not necessary. If I get the chance to play, I will work hard, train hard, and do my best for the team.
