Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was six years old. I started with playing t-ball with my cousins and even though I ran the bases the wrong way the first time running bases I fell in love with being at the ball field. I have always wanted to play collegiate ball. I don't know of a time that being at the field didn't excite me and calm me at the same time. Playing ball at the college level would be my dream come true.
I feel that I am a team leader and that I have in many different ways supported my teammates through playing ball with them and in their personal lives as well. I have always felt that being a team player is the number one thing to strive for when playing team sports. I have had several coaches through out my high school years and summer seasons tell me what a leader that I have been on the mound as well as outside of softball. My coaches have always said they can count on me through good times and bad time in softball.
In high school I study hard and I work towards improving class room studies at all times. I have volunteered to do extra work within activities and I sign up for other sports through out the year as well.
Through out the years, I have pushed myself to get better, with a pitching coach, a hitting coach as well as many camps through out the years. My parents have always believed in me and kept me going with their support and encouragement. I want to complete my degree and coach other softball players and help teach younger children not only about pitching but about softball the sport.
