Kayleigh Bohan '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a pretty competitive person both on the softball field and in the classroom.  Being very driven and determined, I have high expectations of myself.  I strive to do the best I can in school and on the field; and I have come to realization that “success” is not always measured by winning a game or getting an A on an assignment – sometimes it teaches me what I need to change going forward.

Softball is my athletic passion and has been for as long as I can remember.  I enjoy playing at a competitive level and am preparing myself to play at the collegiate level.  In addition to playing, I also enjoy giving back to the sport by first serving as an umpire and now assistant coaching in my hometown recreational organization, the Bedford Girls Softball League.  I really enjoy helping out the girls and seeing them grow as players.  They look up to me to teach them how to play just like I looked up to those girls that helped me develop as a softball player a few years ago.

Academically, I am interested in many different areas of study; however, I have recently developed strong interests in the fields of criminal justice and law.  My high school course, Law and Ethics, has sparked an interest in me in this area and is inspiring me to consider pre-law as an undergraduate course of study with law school to follow.
