Gianna Kubu '20 Recruiting Profile

Dear Coaches,

Hello, my name is Gianna Kubu and I believe I would be a tremendous asset to any university and program as a student athlete. I know that most colleges look for specific qualities, capabilities, and skills for each player and that is exactly what makes me a unique player. One quality that I am more than aware that I carry and will benefit any team is my capability to drive myself above the limitations and surpass the expectations. Once I set my focus on a goal there is nothing that can prevent me from accomplishing that goal.  A desired goal of mine is to focus on my studies throughout college to become a highly skilled, successful doctor. Softball for me is a competitive sport that motivates me to become a better person mentally and physically. I have played nearly every position on the field, which led me to discover the wide range of versatility and capability in which I carry. I embrace the challenge and take great pride in being able to play multiple positions at a high level.  Versatility for me is one of my strongest qualities and it allows me to succeed both offensively and defensively.  I was honorably rewarded this year by being named NJ group 1, 2nd team, all state as an outfielder in my sophomore season.  I have been extremely lucky in my short high school softball career to be a key starter and leader on back to back state championship teams. Each team I have played on has allowed me to build friendships and bonds with different teammates and has become my favorite aspect of softball. I am more than excited to expand out into college to meet new teammates and become one family.  Overall, I have learned a lot from this sport and am looking forward to starting my college softball career at any level to benefit my future.
