Samantha Beckett '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'9 left handed pitcher who mainly plays 1st base. In 2010 high school season, I received the honor of being on the All Group 1, All Area, and Ocean County Teams. When I am on a team, whether it is high school or a travel team, I prefer to lead by actions instead of words. I believe working hard in practice leads to victories in the games. I really do not mind where I go to school, whether it is on the West or East coast, but I am definitely looking for a school that is well known for their academics, not just their athletics. Attending a small school that is division II or III is one of my top proirities. As of right now my desire major would be Chemical Engineering or Civil Engineering. I do want to play softball in college, but I also want to focus on furthering my education.
