I’ve been playing softball practically all my life, starting with T-Ball, middle school, high school and travel ball. My collegiate goals are to maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher, to receive my BA in Business Administration/Marketing and to enjoy my college years, by creating new friendships. I aspire to play softball at the college level not because I like it, but because I love it! I have a competitive nature and natural talent. I am a diverse player, a power hitter batting 3rd in the lineup with speed, I play first base and left field.
What makes me different from other recruits, I value constructive criticism and I work on making the necessary adjustments. On the days when we don't have practice, I'm at the batting cage working to improve my game and guess playing. My hate-to-lose attitude is what drives me on the field and I love the camaraderie that I have with my team mates.
My academic are not equally important as softball, they're more important, because I want to excel in the classroom as well as on the field and I have an obligation to myself as well as my team to remain academically eligible.
In the end, my hate-to-lose attitude and my hard work will hopefully pay off to accomplish my dream, to play collegiate level softball. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement, and I hope to see you on the fields.
