My name is Lauren Steiner, and I am a softball player in the Class of 2025. I play primarily 3rd base but also have played shortstop and left field. I am working hard toward my goal of playing softball in college.
I want to play softball in college because I love competing, being part of teams, and participating in athletics. The bottom line is that I love playing softball.
Unlike many other recruits, I started softball relatively late. Instead, I spent my childhood playing baseball, flag football, AAU basketball, and was on a regional travel soccer team until the age 12. Since freshman year in high school, I have started on the varsity softball and varsity basketball teams, but am dedicated to advancing my softball career, which is the sport I love.
I have been an all-conference freshman and sophomore in softball and continue working hard to improve. Since I started playing relatively late, I am still improving, progressing, and working hard. I will continue that through the rest of high school and college.
I will be a great member of a college softball team because of my competitiveness, being a great teammate, and dedication.
