Jamie Cook-Watt '24 Recruiting Profile

Finishing my sophomore year of softball, I learned how important it is to be a good leader. I was the captain of a small, inexperienced school ball team who needed someone to guide them. I have led in the classroom before, but never on the field and it was a new experience that I would not trade for the world. It was a pleasure being able to help those who were new to softball, lift their spirits, and be there for them. Knowing that my teammates trusted me, and my decisions helped me overcome the fear of leading a team as an underclassman, and it helped me grow. I was awarded all-conference, and 110% effort award this year for softball, and I cannot wait until next year!

I know that with what I have learned and what I will continue to learn will better me as an athlete, student, and person. I am looking for a program that will challenge me both academically and in softball. As a two-sport athlete and having the second highest GPA in my grade, I know I have what it takes to be a college athlete.
