Jordan Hawk '17 Recruiting Profile

My love for softball started when I was pre-school, and it has grown stronger over the ten plus years. My goal after high school is to play at the collegiate level, and complete my studies in Education. I played varsity softball my freshman year, and I completed the season by being named all-conference to the South Mountain 2A/3A league, and I also was named to the district seven North Carolina team. I lead in two categories, I placed third in my conference with RBI's, and I placed third in my team for my batting average (.360).  I can play anywhere in the infield, or outfield but my most seasoned position is shortstop.
I am a very team oriented player, and I love to win. But I also understand winning takes hard work, I am very ambitious, and I push my teammates and myself. I love striving to be better, and I take constructive criticism very well. One of my favorite quotes says, "Always practice like number two, but play like number one." I believe this describes me perfectly, at practice I work hard, but on the field I have confidence in myself and I believe in my ability.
Softball is not my top priority though, I understand that school comes first, and I also strive in the classroom. While playing softball on the Varsity level my freshman year I was named a athletic scholar. During my spare time I help take care of my four sisters, and I strive to complete my senior year in the top ranks of my class.
I look forward to life after high school, and I would love for college softball to be apart of it. I am open to any options wherever they may be. I love the sport and I willing to travel however far it takes me. My goal in college is to find a good match for my needs but ultimately can help me in the work force.
