Madeline Bevens '21 Recruiting Profile

I've always dreamed of playing softball in college, and despite the adversity that dream has faced I'm still determined to put my entire heart and soul into my career. Over the years softball has given me opportunities in life that not many get, I've been able to develop my work ethic, push myself and my teammates to new levels, and experience a type of 'family' bond that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Softball has given me some of the best people and the best experiences I could have ever asked for. And of course nothing beats the feeling of accomplishment and pride after winning a championship title and bringing home some hardware! 

I push myself and my teammates to be the best versions of ourselves we can be both on and off the field. I make it my goal every game and practice to be the loudest and most mentally checked in player both on the field and in the dugout. With my positive and bubbly attitude there is never a dull or down moment for sure! I want to be on the field working my absolute hardest at every practice and during every game.   I put my academics and my team first. I work hard, show up to practice early and stay late. I live for the game and will put my whole heart into it. I give 110% to anything and everything I do! 

My goal for college is to find a good balance between my academia and my love for the game and my team. Finding the program that offers rigor in both areas is important to me. I'm a very open thinker and will acclimate well to new people and surroundings! college is the next big milestone in my life and I'm very excited to see where this path takes me!
