Personal Statement

I was one of the only two freshmen that played with varsity in the playoffs in the 2014 season. I was selected because I was among the top two batting averages on the JV team. Along with this, I started and played every game freshman year. I played not only one position, I pitched and played third base and shortstop. When I was moved up to Varsity for playoffs we placed third in the state, which was very exciting. I was also on the 2014 DuBois All Stars team over the summer that was runner up in the state championship game to the team that won the World Series. While playing for this team I hit two home-runs back to back, one of which was a grand slam. The coach on the opposing age challenged my age and wanted to see my birth certificate because he believed I was older than I actually was.

.

I think what sets me apart from other recruits is my work ethic. I believe that you get out what you put in. If you aren't willing to work and put the time in, even when it is inconvenient, you will never succeed. I have always been recognized for how hard I am willing to work. To me, off-season is just as important as the regular season itself. Starting in the winter months, all the way up through regular season time I am always training to improve my skills.

Even though I practice and play with my all, I never play for myself. I play for the team. I am always thinking during game time about what is beneficial for the team during each situation, even when it may not be convenient for me. When everyone plays as a team, success will happen.

I excel in school, I am an A- honor roll student and am in the National Honor Society. I am also involved in other activities and sports such as; cross country, ski club, and student council. My goals are to graduate with a high class rank, and to get into the school of my dreams. My options for my major are still very open, I am looking into a few careers and haven't decided on one quite yet. I am looking into majors dealing with criminal justice.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
