My name is Jianna Gerg, and I am a 2024 OF/MIF. I currently play for the Saint Marys Pounders and attend high school at Saint Marys, PA. I have about 10 years of experience playing softball, while learning many different lessons in life. I have always placed softball high on my list and have sacrificed many other activities, so I wouldn't miss practice or games even if they are optional. While playing sports I have learned that I am very competitive, work hard, have accountability, and am a team player. I have also developed confidence with my decisions, looking forward to tough practices, and focusing on the positive. Along with the sport of softball, I have created lifelong friendships with some of my best friends.
In addition to softball, I play volleyball, do gymnastics, and played basketball up until my junior year. I have been a scholar-athlete every year and am an all honors student being able to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am currently a member of the National Honors Society. I am very ambitious about my academics as well as my sports and have high goals for college. I feel that I deserve to play in college because of all the hours I have dedicated to improving my athletic ability and academic knowledge. I now want to showcase it to everyone to show them what hard work can do.
