This past year with things opening back up my travel team, The 222's, have been able to make several trips to various places in the states to attend tournaments. I am also been able to work twice a week with a personal trainer at Motion Fitness to improve my strength as well as work with a trainer at Craven Sports Services once a week to work on my speed and agility. Using what I have learned from these programs I am also able to work on my own throughout the week. My season with The 222's is now over however, my club season with The Saskatoon Hustlers has begun with practices twice a week. I also book times in the batting cages throughout the week so I can continue to work on my own.
Before I was ever a softball player I was a dancer, and even though I didn't have the passion for dance that I have for softball I believe that it taught me a lot about hard work and discipline. When I was younger I watched many of my older sister's games and fell in love with the sport. The first opportunity I had to play ball was when I was 10 and I was hooked! Playing on that team made me realize how much I loved playing at a team and I wanted to advance my level of play. That summer after our season was over I attended my first softball camp and started winter training and have played on competitive A-level teams ever since. Throughout my time as a softball player, I have worked hard to make every team I possibly can, including zone and provincial teams. There has never been a minute that I could have been playing ball that I wasn't. Softball has taught me many things such as helping me come out of my shell and being a leader on and off the field. It has also given me something to put all my competitiveness into. Despite being a multi-sport athlete I manage my school work well being one of the top students in a highly academic class.
I think I would be a good fit on any team because I am very coachable, committed and work hard on and off the field.
