I am a Christian who follows Christ first.

My goal of going to college is to become a wildlife state trooper through majoring in criminology. I believe playing softball will benefit me by helping me keep physically fit. It will also keep me mentally fit. The game of softball is not only a physical game but a mental game of wills. I am a very strong willed person and want to win at everything I do though I'm not a sore loser.

I am a hardworking athlete who does not give up. Being a homeschooled student, I have struggled with being on school teams. My homeschool team had players who had never played before and didn't understand the game. The public school team I played on benched me because of my homeschool status. I did get to play for the public school team and I played well but there was always a feeling of someone looking over my shoulder as if I was doing something wrong. I did learn to persevere and I believe going through these situations will help me in college and life. 

Also, I have started a new sport, sporting clays, which I believe will help my focusing skills with softball and help me with my future career choice. Sporting clays, for those who don't know, is a shooting sport where you shoot at clays, varying in size, with a shotgun. It's fun!
