Shelby Davis '15 Recruiting Profile

My main goal is to aquire a quality education while fulfilling my lifelong dream of playing collegiate softball. I'm very self driven to excel on the field. My primary position both in travel and school ball is catching. I've been catching for almost 7 years  I'm very passionate about my academics as well and I'm looking for a school that will be a good fit academically as well as athletically. For many years I have aspired to be a Kindergarten Teacher. Since I know that graduating college is definitely in my future, I am looking at schools that offer my chosen major as well as schools that may offer alternate career paths in my chosen field.  My main goals in softball are to increase my batting average, achieve a consistent throwdown time of 1.8 (currently it's 1.9-2.1), and continue working on a secondary position (first base and third base). I believe no goal is too high if you are willing to work hard to achieve it and I firmly believe I will achieve the goals I have set for myself.
