Personal Statement
Hello!! My name is Miranda Carroll. I am a Junior at Clear Brook High School in Friendswood, Texas and will be graduating in the class of 2024. Academically, I have a GPA of 5.2/6.0 and am in the top 12% of my graduating class. I will be posting my SAT/ACT scores in March 2023 when I take the exams.
I am 5'5"and currently help my team by being the starting pitcher for both my Select Team and High School Varsity Team. Due to my athleticism, I also play MI and UTL - as I do not see myself as a one position athlete...rather I am a Teammate. Some of my proudest accomplishments are maintaining a batting average of over .350 for the last 4 years, as well as, making my High School Varsity Team and lettering my Freshman year. I have a true passion for softball and believe that it has allowed me to become a very well-rounded and better person. I also believe in being a good teammate - its about being selfless and knowing that it is bigger than yourself. In the off season, I’ve been working to improve on my pitching velocity, as it is not where I want to be and under my potential. I have also been working on refining my mechanics as a fielder and hitter. As they always say, "practice may not make perfect but, it will always make better"....or this is how I see it!!
