My beloved grandmother always taught me education was invaluable. I always strive to do my best academically and athletically. I am in all Advanced Placement courses and was recently accepted into the cybersecurity program at Jack E. Singley Academy. I play softball for my home school, Irving High School. I was a starting Varsity player my freshman year. I was chosen by my UIL district as Co-Freshman of the Year and I made First Team All-District my freshman year. This year I have received District 7-6A Academic All-District. I am hoping to play just as well next year.
I believe what makes me a good candidate is my "can-do" attitude, my tenacity, my work ethic and my ability to handle adversity.
I started playing Softball later than most of my teammates. I chose to play baseball from 10U-12U, as I wanted to compete against my two brothers. Believe me when I say, I gave them a real run for their money. However, in switching to softball at such a late age, I had a lot to catch up on skill wise. I did not let that stop me. I showed up early to practices and left late. I gave my coaches my all and I believe that is reflected in my game play.
I want to go into the legal field and have dreams of being a lawyer, maybe even a Judge!
