Karina De La Vega '25 Recruiting Profile

Power hitter, middle infielder/corner. I led my team in hits in travel/high school ball (summer travel 2023 stats - 30 games BA ~ 0.522 (35/67); 19 R; 9 - 2B; 2 - 3B; 2 HR; 25 RBI; 2 SB) I play on Corona Angels 16u Coleman, I have been part of the Corona Angels organization since 2018. This summer I was selected to be part of Team Demarini 2025 for Stars of Tomorrow Athletes Unlimited in Chicago. My team had a first place finish and I was ranked top 13 out of 60 athletes! This was my first experience as a sponsored athlete. 

In summer 2022, my team competed in the Supplemental bracket in Colorado and qualified to attend the Alliance Championships in California. I also competed in games with Corona Angels Tyson at Zoom into June in 2022. 

Summer 2023 Corona Angels Coleman team earned a berth to Alliance Championships while knocking out ranked Texas teams, ranking our team as #8 in Texas and #23 in the country.  I participated in the Patriots Games in Colorado with Corona Angels Tyson and went 2-3 at the plate during the combine games. When possible I train with Marty Tyson in Texas or California. My Texas team won their bracket at Colorado Sparkler and I received 2nd Team All Tournament award.  

I am looking for a university where I can continue to grow as a student athlete and help team compete and do well in their conference.  My best qualities as an athlete -  I am a team player, loyal, not afraid of hard work and ready to compete with my team. I hope to attend a 4 year university and major in Political Science. 

I train hard with intention to get better with some of the best trainers for developing elite players. I lift weights with a certified ex college Strength Trainer, work on my speed and agility with ex NFL players Ramon Richards and Johnny Raging, Defensive training is with former Oregon University assistant coach Nikki Udria Ragin. Hitting training includes Blast technology.
