Personal Statement
From the moment I picked up a softball, at the age of seven, I fell in love with the game and all that it desires. In middle school, I started setting goals to play softball at the highest level.
Although softball is a huge part of my life, academics are my number one priority. Aside from playing collegiate softball my biggest aspiration is to make a difference in someone's life. I consider myself a well-rounded student who has taken five years of Spanish and was a lead in my school play. I take pride in all my work as a student and plan to attend law school after college and pursue a career as a lawyer. I'm looking to study any major related to law or human tendencies, such as political science or psychology.
I have had the opportunity to play on a travel team since I was nine years old. On the field, I have an excellent IQ, am very coachable, and love to learn new things. I am committed and dedicated to putting the time and effort into becoming the best player and teammate that I can be. I am a very competitive, hard worker who plays multiple positions.
As a freshman, I was the starting third baseman and leadoff batter on our varsity team. At the end of the year, I was awarded MVL honorable mention for our conference and also won athlete of the week once. I am currently on the Vermont Storm 18U College Showcase Team.
I want to find a college that I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. I know that it is not going to be easy but I am looking forward to the challenge. Hope to hear from you soon!
