Personal Statement
I play softball because it is FUN! I love softball because I get to play with my friends, I love the competition, and it has given me the opportunity to meet lots of different people and travel to some interesting places. At a very young age I was taught to practice how I play, and to put forth 110% effort in everything I do. I truly believe that games are the easy part, and practice is where you get really dirty, sweat a ton, and work super hard to improve your game. Whether it's at practice, doing my homework or doing my chores, I go all out. I consider myself to be a quiet leader, meaning I may not be the loudest on the field but I lead by example to my teammates. I consistently attend practices, work hard outside of practice, show up early to games, and am usually one of the last to leave the field and dugout. I cheer on my teammates, offer encouragement, and praise hard work. All of these qualities have allowed me to have a successful softball career so far, and I will continue to work hard and enjoy the game as I strive to play at the collegiate level.
