Ella Campbell '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ella Campbell. I am going into my senior year at Belleville High School. Belleville is a very small town with a population of just over 2,000 and I've lived here my entire life. Growing up in a small town meant that those of us who played sports played pretty much every sport, so I've done softball, basketball, volleyball, track and cross country. This was usually the only way for us to have a full team. So, at the age of 4 I started playing T-ball, and I instantly loved the game. Once I was old enough I moved on to coach pitch, then to fast pitch. In high school I play volleyball, basketball and softball, plus travel softball. My first time playing on a travel team was with a local 14u team (even though I was still 12u eligible). Playing with a travel team made me love the sport even more because it allowed me to meet new people, advance my skills, and play a higher level of softball. I am now in my fifth year of travel softball, and can't wait to keep playing!

I work hard in school to be the best student I can be. I am ranked 6th in my class right now, and I have been on the A Honor Roll through all of high school and middle school. My goal is to stay on the A honor roll for the rest of high school. Some of my other achievements in school are: I am a member of the Belleville NHS chapter, I am ahead of pace to receive my service chord when I graduate, I'm on the math team and I've been a DECA board member since I was a freshman. I'm not quite sure yet what I want to do in college, but I'm leaning towards business, marketing or graphic design. No matter what I end up majoring in, I aim to do well in college and hopefully play college softball.
