Ellen Davis '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a competitor. Whether it's against myself or another team, I love to compete. This is what drives my work ethic. I want to be the best that I can and help my team improve everyday to be successful. I understand the commitment and sacrifice this will take and I willingly take on the responsibility. I love to learn and truly enjoy school, and with wanting to pursue medicine to become a doctor, I will get a lot of it! While taking honors classes in math and english and many science electives on top of that, I have earned a GPA of 3.75 out of 4.0. One of my personal goals is to increase my GPA to 3.8 by the end of my senior year. Along with my competitive drive and willingness to learn I am very coachable. I am willing to to make any changes that might be needed to improve my game and help my team be successful. I have played softball for 8 years and club on Greendale Panthers Fastpitch for 6 years. My freshmen year I started on varsity at third base, earning second team all conference and team MVP. My sophomore year I continued to start on varsity playing shortstop. That year I earned first team all conference, all area honorable mention, and team MVP. Both years I have lead my team offensively. I am a intense and aggressive player, but also smart, having great knowledge of the game. I keep my poise and can be trusted in high-pressure situations. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be a student-athlete at the collegiate level. I can't think of a better way to accomplish this goal than getting an education and playing the sport that I love at the college that is right for me!
