Dedication is essential in playing basketball, and it's not easily found everywhere. The loss of my eldest sister motivated me to commit myself to basketball. Upon learning about her passing on Thanksgiving, something in me compelled me to attend practice despite the grief in my heart. When questioned by my coaches about practicing so soon after her death, I replied, "I need to improve in basketball, coach." Since then, my commitment to playing basketball has been in honor of my sister. This is why I've chosen to wear jersey number 32, signifying that she continues to live on through me.
