Kaya Osinski '23 Recruiting Profile

I am Kaya Osinski c/o 2023. My love for basketball started at a young age. I've always had a basketball in my hand, wether I was outside in my drive way, or at public courts perfecting my game. Ever since I can remember my parents have been my number one supporters. My father played High School basketball, and has always been my drive and motivation to compete at a higher level. He inspires me to always work hard and to leave it all out on the court. It has unequivocally brought my family and I closer together than we have ever been. Basketball has never just been a sport to me, it has taught me lessons, and changed me as an individual. When I am out on the court, I am a team leader, while also encouraging my teamates. I am very coachable, I play strong physical defense, I have great mental toughness, and I have outstanding court vision. I believe that the combination of my character and hard work off and on the court, will help me stand out amoungst other recruits. Basketball has brought me countless memories, some of my closest friendships, discipline, and my mental strength. Given the chance to play competative college basketball, while working hard on my academic achievements, would not only be a big opportunity for me but it would fulfill my biggest dreams. I hope to become a great role model to all of my peers in my community, make my parents proud, and to achieve my goal in becoming the best athlete I can be.
