Kerri Johnson '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kerri Johnson and I'm a Senior at Marian Central Catholic High School. I started playing basketball at a very young age. Ever since I was eight years old I have had a passion for playing basketball. I love basketball because It's not just you, as you depend on your teammates. You truly cannot play this sport alone. Basketball has taught me that you have to work hard to achieve the goals you want, and how to become a leader. Outside of sports, I love to volunteer and help my community. I am very involved in my church's youth ministry program and am a counselor for many retreats. I also volunteer around my area to help the less fortunate. I ended my freshman year on the high honor roll at Crystal Lake Central High School. When I think of my future I cannot picture it without basketball, this is why I work hard every day.
