Personal Statement

My goal is to contribute to a Division III women’s basketball program while pursuing a top-tier education. I am a passionate scholar-athlete determined and driven to give my best in everything I do. I am known by coaches, teachers, friends and family for my strong work ethic, the desire to bring out the best in my teammates/classmates/friends and the desire to grow my knowledge, whether it be in sports or academics. I have been told some of my greatest strengths are my positive attitude, high level of effort and coachability. As a basketball player, some of my biggest assets are my speed, defense prowess and overall athleticism. These skills are further enriched by my participation in varsity volleyball and track. Whether it's agility, footwork, quick decision-making, or hand-eye coordination, these diverse athletic pursuits have molded me into a well-rounded athlete.

While I enjoy every moment spent in competition, basketball holds a special place in my heart. The exhilaration I experience while playing for my school and club teams is unparalleled. Being on the court and playing hard is easy for me as it brings me so much joy! As a captain and leader of my school basketball team, my mission is to infuse this joy into my team’s every endeavor. I lead with unwavering positivity, empowering my teammates to reach their full potential. My commitment to fostering inclusivity extends beyond the court, creating an environment where everyone feels valued.

In college, I aspire to bring my passion for learning with my desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. In this pursuit, I plan to study science fields that are dedicated to helping people heal from traumatic injuries, positively improving lives, or contributing to groundbreaking solutions to physical challenges. While I am still exploring specific areas of study, physiology, neurobiology and neurosciences are particularly intriguing to me. I believe my passion for basketball, combined with my academic achievements make me a strong candidate for a Division III basketball program. I am a dedicated scholar-athlete ready to make a profound impact both on and off the court.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
