Peyton Collins '25 Recruiting Profile

Growing up in central North Carolina, basketball has always been a part of my life, whether I was playing it or watching it. I have always been a self-motivated and driven person, on and off the court. One of my most prominent qualities are my leadership abilities, which is displayed by my coaches and teammate's decision to elect me as team captain in my freshman year. I view myself as a team player and a firm believer that a team's success is more important that a single players achievements.  My biggest inspiration in life are my parents, who have taught me to work hard in everything I do,  no matter how big or small. I have learned to adapt to my surroundings,  despite any challenges thrown my way. 

Academics are very important to me and my future. I excel in the classroom, taking all honors and some AP classes. My grades have always been my top priority which has taught me how to appropriately mange time and balance my life. I have maintained a 4.0 unweighted GPA my freshman year of high school.  At this time I would like to pursue a major related to sports medicine, but am aware that as my high school career continues, this may change.  

I am excited to think about what a college experience will look like that allows me to achieve my dreams both on the court and in the classroom.
