Hi my name is JayLynn Nicholson I’m 17 years old. I am a junior. I am very passionate about basketball. I truly love the game. I love working hard and I believe nothing is easy in life you have to work for it. I envision my college years to be a personal growth period. On the court , I plan on giving my all, meaning being a dynamic player and a positive influence on the team. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my college basketball career. I will strive to be an asset to the team as my coaches see fit. My key asset I feel is I’m a great listener I want to learn as much as I can, I want to be coached and filled with knowledge that will make me a better player and person on and off the court. Most importantly, I conduct myself with honor and respect knowing that the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches and the school I attend. I am serious about my academics just the same as I am about my game on the court. I want to excel. I have always had all A’s because I love the challenge to work hard for everything in life. I am Hoping with the right exposure. A coach will see all my hard work and dedication has been earned and I want to carry it further to the collegiate level .
I have been playing basketball since I was 10 years old. I hope to one day earn a scholarship to play in college and eventually coach at the highest collegiate level possible. I plan to make whatever college I commit to be my home for the full 4 years of my college career.
What makes me a good candidate for a team is my heart, commitment, coachability, leadership, and academics. I am also a good student and perform well in my classes.
While playing, I like to be a pest on both ends of the court. My shooting, speed, and defensive stops are what make me stand out on the court. There are many talented basketball players in my graduating class, but what sets me apart is my IQ, energy, work ethic, and how I put my teammates first.
