when I first started playing basketball I saw it as a way to get away from reality. When I was in elementary school there were different sports to choose from I first started with track not knowing that I would be good at running. I was offered to join the schools track team and I played for two years. I enjoyed running but I felt like it didn't fulfill my inner self enough to continue running. I started looking at basketball games with my mother and enjoyed the fire they felt when ever they scored and the joy of the crowed when their team scored. I knew then that I wanted to play basket ball. I went and spoke to the school coach and asked if I could try out for the team. I was given an opportunity and when I made the first shot, I knew then that basketball was the game for me. I loved the feeling I get while in the game. and I knew at this point that I wanted coach to teach me all aspects of the game to become a pro one day. Basketball started to grow on me and motivated me to be an inspiration, a motivator for other young females like me.
