Caitlyn Pickett '26 Recruiting Profile

I've loved the game of basketball ever since I started playing in 3rd grade. Playing in college has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. My favorite place to be is any place I can enjoy basketball. In addition to high school basketball, I play on an AAU team in the summer. In my free time, you'll typically find me in the gym dragging along my siblings, teammates, and whoever I can get to join me.  

I have a good basketball IQ and see the court well. This helps me to read the plays on defense and pull down rebounds. I can also see the court and decide whether to shoot or kick it out to a teammate for an open shot. It's very important to me that I continue to be coachable and a great team player. I work hard on and off the court. I always give it my all. Additionally, my teammates would say I have a contagious, bubbly personality and use it to help keep the team positive. Some would say I'm like a cheerleader for the team whether I'm on the floor or the bench. I bring the energy to my team making us better as a whole. 

As a multi-sport student athlete, there have been struggles to overcome. I've learned to be a problem solver and communicate with my teammates, coaches, and teachers in order to overcome these obstacles. I want to compete at a high collegiate level and find a good match both on the court and in the classroom.
