Savannah Cognasi '16 Recruiting Profile

I have played the game of basketball since first grade. Throughout the years I have become more and more competitive.  I am proud of what I have learned from the game of basketball, and what it has taught me about winning and losing...not just on the court, but in life. Outside of basketball, I enjoy running track, and competing in high jump. I hope to have a successful high school career, and I aspire to play in college someday.
I am a loyal and trustworthy teammate.  I place the good of the team over self in terms of my play and performance.  While being a student athlete is at times challenging, I have found ways to balance both, and remain successful.  I am fortunate in that I have supportive parents, teachers, and coaches who have supported me in both academics and athletics, and I am grateful for the experiences I have had so far.  I was recently awarded the female multi-sport athlete of the year for the sophomore class at Coronado High School.   I feel I possess both the skills and the desire to be both a successful student and athlete in college.
