Personal Statement
My name is Kira Miller and I've been playing basketball since 5th grade. For my 8th birthday I was given a goal and have been hooked ever since. My family has played the biggest role in my basketball career. They get me to my games, practices, and help me with drills. They have also been influential in my academics, pushing me to better myself and take above average classes. Over the past 5 years of playing I have learned many things; the importance of team work, self confidence, having total control of your mind and body, and how to apply these aspects to everyday life. I've learned to push myself because great things don't just come easily. I'm looking for a college that strives for athletic and academic excellence as much as I do. I look forward to speaking and working with coaches in the future.
