Basketball has been a major part of my life since the 3rd grade, when I started playing competitively year long. I take being a student athlete very seriously, and see basketball as an extension of my academics as I consider myself not just a player but student of the game. I have always put team first and in my 3 years of high school basketball my team has had tremendous success in making the state tournament (no tournament my freshman year 2020 due to pandemic). I have felt validated for my time and effort by being made captain as well as being named to the Emerald Sound all conference team in both my sophomore and junior seasons. My coaches in AAU and high school have entrusted me with a lot of leadership responsibilities as a result of my team oriented game as I see my biggest strengths a being able to play multiple positions, feel strong in all aspects of my game, and in supporting my teammates in understanding and executing on offense and defense. I feel confident in saying that I am a lockdown defender, a knockdown shooter, have excellent court vision, and am crafty and highly effective in the post. That said, I am dedicated to raising all aspects of my game heading into my senior year of high school and as I look to continue being a student athlete in college.
