My name is Daniella Walker and I am a junior in high school with a Hispanic background, and passion for golf. I also have a passion for education, and have worked hard to balance school, golf, and a part time job while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 4.47. I started playing golf with my dad during our free time together, as I got older I learned to love the sport of golf and realize how influential it has been to me. I have come to the realization that golf is helpful to people of all ages whether it is courtesy skills, meeting people, and staying patient through frustrating moments. I believe that my most valuable strengths are staying organized, planning ahead, prioritizing my responsibilities, and developing good communication skills. These attributes have helped me in my academic life, and on the golf course. Throughout my life I have learned a lot from being an only child with divorced parents from different ethnic backgrounds. I am fluent in Spanish and I have learned to emerge myself in two different lifestyles and cultures. Being able to handle certain situations and learning to be more independent has allowed me to handle gracefully the challenges that life has presented so far. My goals are to be able to play women’s golf at a Division I or Division II University while earning a degree in architecture as well. Architecture, interior design, and art has been my choice of future study for the past 4 years and I am confident that this is what I want to pursue. Golf and architecture are the two things I would like to be involved in for the rest of my life, and I believe that I am on the right path to reach my goals.
