Mia Dang '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mia Dang and my goals are probably like most student-athletes. 1, to attend a world class University where I can meet people from around the world and connect with new friends. 2, receive an education where I can be an asset and contribute to society on a local and global scale. 3, compete for national title in women's golf.

What sets me apart from other golfers is the fact that I also play hockey. I'm a goalie for club/travel team. I understand teamwork and the "single mindset"...AND to win. And when I don't, I'm on the range or on the ice trying to figure how I can get better. What makes me different? I'm not the tallest, and I might not be the strongest but I feel like I make up with my grit, pure grit. And when i'm on the course, you'll have to fight me off on every hole. I'm focused on the task at hand, then on to next stroke, and that focus is even more so if I'm in the lead. 

My time management is crucial to my successes in golf. Managing school and golf is like a job, but I don't get paid for it. I make time to play tournaments, enjoy time with family and friends while maintaining 3.5 GPA.
