Hello Coach, my name is Sara Main. I will be a senior playing on the women’s varsity golf team at St. Ignatius College Preparatory School in Chicago, IL. I have played golf since 6th grade and made the varsity team freshman year in high school. My dream is to be part of your college golf team.
Everyone will tell you I am a hard working student and I hope to play golf at the college level where I can continue to develop my game and further my education. I take academics very seriously and, weather permitting, practice golf every chance I have with a PGA certified coach.
Since the St. Ignatius women’s golf team only plays in the fall, I have also participated in Model UN, Chess Team, Asia Club, Pep Band, Circle of Friends and Ignatians for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. I also work at Lincoln Bark, an all-natural pet treat company that my mother owns. I help with many aspects; making samples, attending trade shows and calling on local stores.
To prepare for tournament play and additional practice to improve my game, this summer I have signed up with IJGA to play in as many tournaments as I can.
Although with golf, it’s you against the course, I love the comradery and support from the rest of the team. It’s truly a sport of one for all and all for one! My goal is to take my drive to your woman’s golf team!
Thank you for your consideration.
Best wishes,
Sara Main
