Stella Bernhardt '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Stella Bernhardt. I’ve enjoyed golf since I got my first set of clubs in second grade. We lived on a golf course in Nashville, TN for just one year, and I quickly fell in love with the sport. From there we joined a golf club in Grand Rapids, MI and I participated in all the junior golf activities through the club. In fifth grade, I started working with a swing coach, realized I had great potential with the sport and started getting competitive. I started by doing a few tournaments in the West Michigan Junior Golf Tour. Eventually doing the full tour and then moving onto the Meijer Callaway Junior Golf Tour. This past year I enjoyed also trying out the Hurricane Tour and GAM events. Spring and Summer 2023 I will concentrate on AJGA, GAM, PGA, Hurricane Tour, and Meijer Callaway Junior Tour events.

I was the #2 player on my high school’s Varsity team as a Freshman for the 2022 season with my best round being an 82 at Quail Ridge for the Ernie Popiel Memorial Invitational with a 5^th place finish. I’m determined to continue and improve upon that success over the next three years with aspirations to play collegiate golf. This winter season, I continue to work with my swing coach weekly and a personal trainer weekly. In addition, I take their assignments for the week and work on them 2-3 hours a day on the simulator in our garage and with work-out equipment in our basement. I’m self-driven, competitive and a 4.0 student. I believe I’ll be a leader on your college team by bringing these qualities.
