Personal Statement

As a late starter to golf, I am working hard to play in as many tournaments as possible to increase my experience and the playing level of my game.  2018 will be my second year competing in (non school) junior tournaments and my third year since I began to play golf.  My handicap has gone from a 29 to a 3, and I have made strong improvements to my physical strength and mental toughness.

I enjoy the team style approach to winning golf events for our school, every shot matters.  In 2017,  our high school team won First Place in the NJ State Finals.  I was the #2 player for the team.

I am focused on playing golf in college for a coach who sees my potential and can help guide me with continuing my progress.  It is important for me to be part of a team that truly enjoys each other and supportively encourages each others' development.

My favorite aspect of golf is meeting new people.  Spending four hours on a golf course, often with complete strangers, has taught me how essential social and communication skills are.  Life lessons of shaking hands, listening to others and eye contact are some of the extra benefits of my golf that I will use forever.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
