In the 7th grade, I decided I wanted to switch from softball and play golf. I fell in love with it immediately. I thrive on the competitiveness of the game and admire the challenge of the course. Playing in competitions, pushes me to play my best and stay mentally and emotionally focused.
In Spring 2023, my left wrist was put in a cast, and I was unable to play from May-July. In August, I returned to playing in tournaments, and in Fall of 2023, I finished my High School season. However, halfway thru, I had re-injured my wrist, resulting in missing the last few matches. I had already made it to States and though still competed, I was unable to play at my best. I have been in physical therapy since the re-injury and was finally able to start back the last week of January with lessons, practicing and working on my form. My goal is to be back playing tournaments in March 2024.
I attend a college prep private high school that is very academically challenging and demanding. I take 8 courses each semester which results in an average of studying 20 hours per week.
One thing I can say about myself is that I am coachable. I am always looking for ways to improve my game. I enjoy meeting other golfers, getting to know their style and background.
I want to play in college because I know I would be part of a team from the start, and I want to play competitively in a collegiate environment.
