February 2024 Personal Statement
My name is Chahak Goswami, I am 15 years old and a sophomore on my Varsity golf team at the highly competitive 6A high School, Southlake Carroll. Since childhood, I have been very energetic and athletic, doing dance, taekwondo, and basketball. However, when I was 11 I joined a junior golf league where I finally found my passion of golf. Since then, I played at NTPGA (All American Tour) and TJGT tournaments. I got on to my school’s golf team freshman year, where we placed 2nd at Districts and went on to get 2 teams out to regionals for the first time in 10 years.Throughout all the competitions, I have also maintained high academic achievements. I have already completed algebra 2 as a freshman, and am now taking advanced Pre-Calculus, advanced Chemistry, and advanced Art.
Being one of the few girls without any golf parents to teach me, golf has made me independent, and has taught me quick problem solving. I will be beneficial to your team because of my positivity and quick thinking.
