Hannah Herman '11 Recruiting Profile

For some quick stats, my name is Hannah Herman,I am 5'7", weigh 125 pounds, and have some awesome golf tan lines. In my two complete seasons of high school golf, I have placed fourth in region both times (freshman and sophomore seasons). I placed nineteenth at state my freshman year out of the 3A, 4A, and 5A teams in Utah. I have three wins from tournaments I played the past two years and have a second place finish down in a South Texas Junior Golf event. On April 20 this year, I placed first at a high school region event with a three over par 40 for nine holes ( most of our events are nine holes). I am a great leader, and am good at motivating my team to perform their best. I really want to play golf in college because I love the sport and want to compete at the next level. Although I would love to play golf at a western school or anywhere with warm weather, I am definitely open to playing anywhere if I fit well with the program. I am currently looking into schools in Texas and around Utah, which would allow me to stay near my family and relatives. I don't have many preferences regarding schools, but I would love to go to a Christian school. I am looking for good scholarships to pay for my education, and I will probably apply for FAFSA. I am hoping to get some academic scholarships as well. As for majors, I would love to go into Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising, but would also consider Chemistry if I got an offer from a school that didn't offer those courses. My athletic goals are to play competitively and work hard to see what my best can achieve. In short, I love golf and am excited to pursue it at the college level.
