Sabrina Joner '23 Recruiting Profile

I don’t have family members that play golf, so my journey to a love for golf was probably different than most. When I was 14 there was a mini season of golf in middle school and I decided to give it a try. Turns out I really enjoyed it! I was looking forward to playing my Freshman year, but unfortunately Covid hit and a week into practice school was shut down. When things started to open up in summer I started playing a little golf here and there in hopes of improving for my Sophomore year. Again, Covid put a kink in our season, and we only had a shortened five week season. The practice I put in between seasons got me to 3rd in districts in that short season and the MVP of our team. This motivated me and I bought new clubs and put more work in between seasons and when my Junior season came around I was MVP, 14th in State, and 1st Team All League. My scores have continued to improve and I just scored a low tournament score of 84. I love this sport and will continue to practice to improve my scores. I am motivated and will strive to be the best that I can be at this sport! I want to do well and I want to win!
